I wasn't entirely sure what to expect when I downloaded this - how does a spot the difference ebook work?! -- but I was pleasantly surprised.This is a short book with eight spot-the-difference puzzles. Each full-color puzzle contains a cast of zany characters and 12 differences (which, being rendered on an ebook, you must keep track of in your head). There are also two scrambled sentences (ikle hist) which would be good for middle schoolers and beyond. The sentences are long AND have several long words, so I imagine they'd frustrate or completely stump younger kids. The scrambled sentences have answers, but the spot-the-difference puzzles do not.
The illustrations were big enough to work on both my laptop and my ereader, but I can see how they would be frustrating to do on a small screen. Even though the book is short, I can see it lasting a while, as I imagine a lot of people would like doing only one or two puzzles a day.It could serve as a good distraction while waiting in doctor's offices, etc. Since you can't write on it, different people can enjoy the same copy. However, while I'm glad I got this book, I think I prefer this sort of activity in a format you can mark on.
